I don't disagree either nor do I have a preference on which method to use. I simply followed the approach shown in the help file but and had it used Artur's approach then I would have already implemented it.
Regarding layout of code, I don't disagree that it could be improved upon. I think I even admitted in a recent post that I wasn't overly familiar with using functions however recent experience and help from Jon has given me further exposure to their use and increased my understanding more. As a relative beginner who ventures into VBA every now and then I think it takes time and experience to better realise how to organise ones code. I do try to take on board any advice provided by more experience programmers and your offering is no different so I shall look at splitting my code down further for clarity.
