Mostly some tools from Geopak that allowed me to get and use profile elevations at a known station. That is something that InRoads doesn't have in a simple one or two click interface.
The first tool was in COGO - type in station (any station) and get elevation from your selected profile.
The other one was through the Cross Section Interface. I could select any profile (from my main alignment or projected from another alignment) and place a data point at that elevation (and user-defined offset) in my cross section.
There may be a couple of others, but I miss those all the time. I've had people say I can get that information, but it always turns into a two or three tool, many-click solution. The VBA may be a challenge, but it will get me a long-term fix to a handful of time-wasters.
That said, I've looked at the Bentley.Civil.3.1.chm. It documents a lot of what appears to be InRoads Classes/ Methods and properties, but there is little to no documentation about how these interact or relate. Absolutely no example code to get any feel for how to work with them. And not a whole lot that looks to me like an "elevation" property of anything.
