No, addins we are talking about are in the testing fase(migration from V8i to Connect) and plan was to perform testing on 2-3 PC by 2-3 users and after that create official MSI package.

But, this message about missing digital signature created confusion because we did know what caused the problem

We did some more testing with V8i and zipping and unzipping addins forn V8i did not produce same problem.

Conclution is , as Jan wrote, NET Framework security mechanisms is probably source of the problem, not MicroStation.

Solution is , as Jon wrote, use  of installation tool that can create an MSI package.

MicroStation is very important tool and it is critical to understand and solve any problem correctly , not just accept solutions as "do not compress files".

Compressing files in this case was not main source of the problem and "not to compress files"  is just "a lucky break" not a correct solution.
